729pp Mann's masterpiece was first published in the US in 1927 in a 2 volume edition, then reset and reprinted in 1944 in a one volume version. This is the 8th printing of the reset edition, revised here for the first time to include an article Mann published in Atlantic in January 1953, "The Making of The Magic Mountain." The book is in very good condition, without stain, mark. signature or bookplate. The dustjacket however is rather worn, faded on the spine, and has some tears and chips missing. very good. fair.
