464pp: An anthology of about 25 sea stories, most excerpts from novels and short stories, with occasional full page woodcut illustrations by Rockwell Kent. The texts are taken from Michener (Tales of the South Pacific), Robert Heggen (Mr Roberts), Rockwell Kent's own N BY E, Tomlinson's Galleon Reach, Faulker (Dr Martino), and some obvious sources: Melville, Conrad, Dana, Capt. Bligh, RL Stevenson, Virgil and even Christopher Columbus. Bound in bright green cloth (in very good conditon), binding loosening and front hinge rather tender; dustjacket is a bit worn at the edges, sunned along the spine fair. Good.
